Kikundi Participates in the 2025 ESPEN NTD Program Managers Meeting

Kikundi was proud to take part in the NTD Program Managers Meeting organized by ESPEN and WHO AFRO, which took place in Lome, Togo from 15th to 17th April 2025. This meeting was a pivotal convening focused on accelerating the elimination of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) across Africa.

During the opening keynote, Kikundi Chair Balla Jatta called for bold innovation, stronger domestic ownership, and deeper community-driven approaches to build resilient, scalable NTD programs led by African countries. He underscored the need for solutions rooted in local realities and powered by national leadership.

Representing Kikundi’s community of practice, Dr. Kane, National NTD Program Manager for Senegal, shared insights from Kikundi's peer learning exchange visits. His presentation highlighted how these site visits strengthen knowledge exchange, foster collaboration, and drive co-created solutions to shared challenges in program implementation.

Kikundi’s presence at the meeting reaffirmed its core mission: to amplify national voices, enable peer-to-peer support, and create spaces for learning and innovation led by NTD program managers themselves.
