Leadership, Management and Governance (LMG) 201 Course

We are pleased to share highlights from the final module of the Leadership, Management and Governance (LMG) course, held from 27th to 31st October at the Strathmore Business School in Nairobi, Kenya. This concluding session brought together leaders in the fields of NTD  and malaria to consolidate and apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout the program as they work toward the control and elimination of these diseases.

Participants also undertook a deep dive into strategic plans, interrogating the effectiveness of their current approaches and developing refined, actionable roadmaps for achieving elimination. A portion of the module focused on the use of epidemiologic and surveillance data, strengthening participants’ ability to interpret evidence and translate it into meaningful decisions. Through sessions on transforming data into information for policy and program direction, participants enhanced their capacity to drive evidence-based leadership.

A key highlight of the week was the presentation of projects, where participants showcased the practical initiatives they developed over the course of the LMG program. The module concluded with a graduation ceremony celebrating their accomplishments, dedication and leadership growth.

NTD participants included Mme Fatou Ndiaye Diop  and Mr. Bassirou Gueye Bachir  from Senegal as well as Dr. Piham Gnossike and Mr. Ibarin Morou  from Togo. This module marked the official wrap-up of the LMG 201 program, culminating months of learning, collaboration and leadership development. Kikundi congratulates all participants for completing this transformative journey and looks forward to their continued impact in advancing NTD elimination across Africa.
