Kikundi at the NNN 2025

At the 2025 NNN Annual Conference, Kikundi was proud to actively contribute to the dialogue on strengthening country ownership and advancing sustainable NTD programs across Africa. Our participation highlighted the power of collaboration, peer learning, and ministry leadership in driving impactful change. Through two engaging sessions, Kikundi and its members shared concrete experiences, practical tools, and country-led innovations that are shaping the future of NTD program management on the continent.

We co-organized a timely workshop on Domestic Resource Mobilization with our partners at Unlimit Health. The session featured practical insights from Kikundi members Balla Jatta (Gambia) and Prudence Beinamaryo (Uganda), who shared real-world experiences in advocating for domestic funding and adapting to the changing funding landscape through campaign integration. Their contributions sparked rich breakout discussions!

We were also honored to lead the NNN for Africa session on the first day of the conference, showcasing inspiring Ministry-led NTD initiatives from Senegal, Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, and Tanzania. We were also honored to have Dr. Christine Musanhu from the World Health Organization country office in Uganda deliver the keynote remarks during the session. One standout example came from our member Dr. Ndeye Kane (Senegal), who presented on their work to digitize MDA data—enabling real-time tracking and smarter decisions on drug stocks and coverage.
