LMG201 Training in Dakar, Senegal

From June 2nd to 4th, 2025, Kikundi participated in the Leadership, Management, and Governance (LMG201) training held in Dakar, Senegal, the second time we've been involved in this regional initiative. The training was conducted by Strathmore University, funded by the Gates Foundation, and delivered in partnership with Kikundi, the Senegalese National Malaria Elimination Program, and Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Program.

The three-day training brought together NTD and malaria program managers to strengthen their leadership and systems thinking skills. Key sessions focused on:

• Understanding health systems and institutional complexity
• Ethical leadership frameworks and decision-making
• Self-awareness and communication styles through the Clarity4D model
• Tools for effective program coordination and accountability

As participants now transition into the virtual modules, Kikundi looks forward to continuing to support their learning journey and gaining insights from their experiences. We are especially excited for the upcoming graduation ceremony and final in-person convening.
